Muslims Defy Odds To Protect Christians From al-Shabab Attack
In a courageous act of defying terror, a group of Kenyan Muslims protected Christians from an attack, saying they were ready to die together, according to witnesses.
But since a slew of Al Shabab attacks in the a year ago that targeted Kenyans assigned to jobs there, marginalization has become abandonment.

Two people died in the attacks on Monday in northern Mandera County when gunmen believed to be Somalia’s al-Shebab rebels shot at a bus and truck headed for Mandera town, North Eastern Regional Coordinator Mohamud Saleh said.
According to CNN, most of the passengers were women.

According to multiple media reports, the Muslim passengers, a lot of them women, refused to do so, with some handing the Christian women their hijabs and others attempting to hide Christians behind their luggage. “There are no Christians here”, he said.

Reacting to the development, Anglican Bishop Julius Kalu of Mombasa said, “I think it’s an act of bravery for the Muslims who risked their lives to protect the Christians”.
Brutal attacks on buses are being made regularly by the group, particularly in December, the time of the year, which is one of the busiest travel seasons in Kenya.
“Terrorism is still a real threat to Kenya, the region and the entire world, but we have also improved in our response”, he said.
The Muslims passengers are receiving much deserved praise throughout Kenya for repelling the attack.
