Amitabh Bachchan lauds ‘Bajirao Mastani’, says he wants to watch ‘Dilwale’ also
Bajirao Mastani’s strong showing at the box office lifted shares of its Eros International Media, the distributor of the movie starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.
Bachchan, 73, who recently watched the period drama, said the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed film is a masterpiece. Bajirao Mastani had a fabulous first Sunday with Rs 18.45 crore at the cash registers. Moreover, its release in China next year will also lift the collection of the movie, the brokerage added. Bajirao Mastani has performed well at the worldwide markets too and with no major release till January 8, the film is expected to continue its steady run at the domestic and global box offices.
The soundtrack for the film is composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali with assistance by Shreyas Puranik.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani became the talk of the town these days.
The film is expected to cross the 100 crore marks by Saturday according to trade experts. “Right from the division of screens to the division of shows [multiplexes and single screens, both] to the division of footfalls at cineplexes during the all-important opening weekend… calculations can go awry when the business gets divided”, he wrote. The film narrates the story of the Maratha warrior Peshwa (Prime Minister) Bajirao I of the Maratha Empire and his second wife Mastani.
