Today is the warmest Christmas Eve ever in Central NY
Christmas Day – Showers and thunderstorms over much of the Southeast.
Northern New England is looking at some record-breaking warmth this week.
Most of the Arklatex will stay clear Wednesday night. The record high today is 75 degrees, set in 1931, but we will break that.
The National Weather Service said the high temperature in Atlanta on Christmas Eve is expected to be 74.
Temperatures of around 7C and gusts of around 35mph are predicted for Christmas Day.
The warm weather begins Christmas Eve with clouds and a high of 68 degrees.
With many parts of Canada now without snow and experiencing mild temperatures, it will take a Christmas miracle for everyone to see snow on the ground come Christmas morning. The snow will pick up this evening and increase intensity overnight. A few storms could be strong this evening and tonight, with damaging wind being the primary threat. This storm is only expected to give the valley around a quarter of an inch of rain with snow levels quite possibly below 1000 feet.

Showers have made their way out of Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas but by late Wednesday night we’ll have a chance for some light snow showers.
Our weather will remain unseasonably warm but also dry over the upcoming weekend as we await the development of the next storm system moving out of the Rockies.
