The new App Store is usually in the form of an app through which one can quickly find out any of their favorite app which are Android-compatible.
Now users can download and use apps such as Office, Skype and Wunderlist via the Microsoft app store. – AFP picMicrosoft’s idea is to have its apps on everyone’s screen and to make them popular outside of the Windows universe. As we all know, the traditional Windows Operating system introduced by the monstrous software firm yet holds its highest place as a domineering platform in the PC sphere. While Facebook and Google dominates the list, and even Apple gets a mention, as the title of this post suggests, none of Microsoft’s apps on these two platforms are present. Users will be able to find apps from Microsoft across categories like productivity, education, entertainment, communication, news, and more. Microsoft’s App Store has around 80 apps including apps that have been acquired by the company such as Wunderlist and Sunrise (calender app). Microsoft has begun to open up advertising options for developers in order to make some money of their own, so there’s always the possibility that big and small business’ alike will take and run with third-party Microsoft app development – we will have to wait and see.
