More storms Christmas Day?
Expect a few scattered rain and/or thundershowers throughout the day. Highs will approach record levels at 73 in the Upstate and 71 in the mountains. There is also a dense fog advisory for Boulder County in effect until 8 a.m. today. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
According to records dating to the 19th century, the average December temperature in Central Jersey is 34 degrees.
But that’s the word Western Mass News Meteorologist Jacob Wycoff used when he forecasted a record-warm day across the state for the day before Christmas.
