‘Mystic Mac’ Conor McGregor Predicted Exactly How He’d Win UFC 194
Since his entry into the UFC, Ireland’s “The Notorious” Conor McGregor has trademarked himself as a brash, cocky fighter who shows his opponents little respect before the fight.
“I said his right hand would get him into trouble”, he said, “it’s the shot I predicted, I said he’d overload on his right hand, I said I’d slip and I’d bang the left hook and that’s what happened”.
Aldo called for a rematch before leaving the cage but the new champion won’t be so quick to grand such a request, if at all.
Former lightweight champion and number 2 ranked featherweight Frankie Edgar is fresh off a very impressive first round knockout of 3 time featherweight title challenger Chad Mendes.
“I said his right hand would get him into trouble”.
Kavanagh also thinks his next bout will be for the lightweight belt.
But if he wants a shot at the lightweight belt, he’ll have to fight UFC president Dana White for the right to keep the featherweight title at the same time.
After UFC 194, McGregor laid out three potential options: the Dos Anjos-Cerrone victor, a featherweight defense against Frankie Edgar, or an immediate rematch with Aldo. It takes a while for us to digest, but it’s part [of the sport].
“It still is too hard to digest”, said Aldo.
There are a few exhausted heads today after half the country rose at half five this morning to see Conor McGregor take on Jose Aldo.
“If Conor decides to stick around and fight Edgar, then Jose would fight somebody else”.
The pair were scheduled to fight on July 11 at UFC 189; although this didn’t come to fruition due to Aldo withdrawing from the fight with injury. I think it doesn’t end there.
“Tell me one time I’ve not turned up the next day fresh”.
THE translator has come under fire after his sloppy job in the post-fight interview made beaten champion Jose Aldo look like a sore loser. “Not only me, but my career speaks for itself”. McGregor, like Rousey for a few minutes, is the face of the division, and might the biggest name in the UFC right now, or at least we’ll find out when the PPV numbers come in.
