FedEx isn’t coming to town with all gifts on Christmas Eve

Based on that number, the Postal Service’s share of holiday deliveries this year is estimated to jump to 40% from 35% a year ago. FedEx said it’s forecasting a record-breaking 317 million shipments between Black Friday and Christmas Eve – a 12.4 percent hike in seasonal volume from 2014.

“I’m anxious we’re going to have a surge, and if we do, can we get the packages there in time for Christmas”, Wingo said. Throw in bad weather, and deliveries backed up.
