Donald Trump defends Vladimir Putin: ‘I haven’t seen any evidence that he
It has not been proven that hes killed reporters.On Thursday, Putin praised Trump during a wide-ranging news conference, calling him talented without doubt and brilliant. Trump has embraced the remarks, drawing fire from critics such as Sen.
“For him to provide propaganda, which is really what he just did for Vladimir Putin – who is a thug and a murderer – I think is really astonishing”, McCain said. “I think it’s awful – frightful”.
In an interview with MSNBC on Friday, Trump was asked for his opinion regarding the issue of President Putin allegedly ordering journalists in Russian Federation killed in an attempt to control the narrative in the country. I don’t know that he has. I’m saying, when you say a man has killed reporters, I’d like you to prove it. And I’m saying it would be a bad thing if it were true. “But this isn’t like somebody that’s stood with a gun and he’s taken the blame or he’s admitted that he’s killed”.
Opposing conventional knowledge, Trump continued by saying he has yet to see any evidence that Putin as killed anybody “in terms of reporters”.
“I’m not saying anything”, Trump said after drawing this exact comparison.
Trump told Stephanopolous that U.S. policy had killed “hundreds of thousands” of people.
Putin told Russian media that forces will continue to serve in Syria until diplomatic actions are launched.
“You’re supposed to be innocent until proven guilty”, Trump said on Sunday. “They do whatever I want. Trump then challenged reporters to come up with hard evidence that the Kremlin, under Putin’s rule, has ever been involved with an assassination attempt on a journalist. “I think that’s an asset, not a liability”.
The heated discussion took place on ABC’s “This Week” show on Sunday when host George Stephanopoulos started asking the mogul about President Putin’s policy.
“You can’t just impose your version of democracy, of good and evil, onto people of other cultures, with other religions and traditions in this mechanic, automatic way”, he said.
