No, Disney Infinity doesn’t spoil Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ big mystery
He may even have slaughtered his many enemies, including his own father, in order to gain Snoke’s trust.
We’ve all been there…you see a film that you really love, and you obsess over and over about the events that happened in said film.
And, apparently, Kylo Ren is a Raiders fan.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens director JJ Abrams has discussed that scene everyone is talking about (or trying not to, as the case may be), explaining that it was necessary in establishing the new villain. Is that why he freaked out when Anakin/Luke’s lightsaber went to Rey and not him?
Well, there was a brief disturbance in the force this week when it was mistakenly revealed that Rey is Luke Skywalker’s daughter, and cousin of Kylo Ren. The only concrete thing we know about Rey is the she was left to fend for herself in Jakku with no apparent reason.
1 – Kylo’s fighting style is raw and barbaric, and therefore not like a Sith or Jedi. When she uses the force to retrieve Luke’s lightsaber from the snow, Kylo remarks “It is you”.
While this seems a little unlikely – we all watched the Villain Formerly Known as Ben murder his own father, Han Solo, after all – the theory, put forward by Reddit user Vrso3g, is rooted in Ren’s admiration of his grandfather, Lord Vader. It’s possible the “force has awakened” and created Rey. This, of course, leads people to believe that Force Awakens heroine Rey is actually Ren’s cousin, which would then make her Luke Skywalker’s daughter.
One other caveat: Look at the official Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster, where Rey and Kylo Ren are positioned.
