Ranveer Singh’s Bajirao Mastani Movie 7th Day/ 1st Week Collections Reports

The movie opened up with huge collections competing with Dilwale starring SRK and Kajol in lead roles.

While Dilwale had a kickstart on its Day 1 with INR 21.50 Crores, Bajirao Mastani had a humbler start with INR 12.80 Crores. Sanjay Leela Bansali’s Bajirao Mastani is Featured with top Starcast Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. The film narrates the story of the Maratha warrior Peshwa (Prime Minister) Bajirao I of the Maratha Empire and his second wife Mastani.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani and Shahrukh Khan’s Dilwale faced a major box office clash on December 18th. “It doesn’t matter to him if he has done “Bajirao Mastani” or not”. He has directed the film and produced the film under his banner SLB Films.

On the work front, Ranveer will be busy with his YRF short film, Befikre, which also features Vani Kapoor. Priyanka who even played in Hollywood TV Show Quantico, proved herself with his movie. Released exactly two years back, Ram Leela had scored an opening week of 79.49 crore with a better opening day (15.73 crore) and weekend (51.49 crore). As per reports, the first week box office collection tolled to around 86 crores.

The first Monday and Tuesday after the release of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani saw the films in a neck-to-neck battle with each other, with the latter closing in on Dilwale.

The movie has been made on a budget of Rs 210 crores and the movie unit worked for 300 days to complete the shoot.

Now with Christmas falling on Friday, it is expected that the movie will look to cross the mark of Rs 85 crore in the first week collections.

Bajirao Mastani is now set to score 100 crore by tomorrow morning and all eyes would be on the pace that the film picks up from this point on in the most lucrative three day holiday weekend.
