Need PM Modi to inform me what my fault is: Kirti Azad
“These are the questions the Prime Minister must answer”, party spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said.
“Senior Party leader Subramanian Swamy has told me that he will help me in drafting my reply (to notice)”, he said.
Azad more required Prime Minister Modi guarantee him and to appear into the problem justice.
Darbhanga MP Azad was expelled from the BJP following his tirade towards Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in reference to irregularities within the DDCA.
BJP had accused Azad of indulging in anti-party activities and “colluding” with Congress and AAP to bring the party into “disrepute”.
A veteran was quoted by a news organisation, where he said that the issue related to Azad’s suspension will be considered as the background of the meeting.
Azad said he wanted to know if he was suspended for raising his voice against alleged corruption in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA).
Given his unprecedented rebellion in BJP’s history – which also included an attack on Jaitley on the floor of Parliament and through multiple posts on Twitter – it was expected that the party will wait for the Parliament’s Winter Session to be over before taking action.
The BJP on Wednesday suspended Azad from the party.
I have been a loyal soldier of the BJP since 1993 when I was elected as MLA from West Delhi.
“Yes, he has been suspended for anti-party activities”, Bharatiya Janata Party general secretary Anil Jain told IANS, reading out an official statement. This is a matter of serious corruption and I have fought against it for the last nine months.
Azad asked the BJP to describe particular costs of anti-events actions and stated that he’s not registered the Resistance and palms. He said he had never targeted Jaitley, “although much of the wrongdoing took place during his tenure”. Azad also said that he will file a PIL in his individual capacity over the DDCA issue soon.
The meeting also holds significance in the wake of rebel MP Kirti Azad suggesting that he will approach the party’s margdarshak mandal, which included Advani and Joshi along with the prime minister and home minister, to review his suspension.
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi continued his tirade against PM Narendra Modi and demanded that he should not keep quite over corruption charges made against his cabinet colleague. “I will file a PIL in my personal capacity and you will be in trouble”, he said in Ahmedabad, without elaborating on who he meant by “you”.
