Sunshine expected for the rest of Christmas Day, rain expected this weekend
Light southwest winds may move back into the area, keeping our low temperatures again buoyed into the low-to-mid 50s. South southeast wind 13 to 18 miles per hour becoming east southeast 6 to 11 miles per hour in the evening. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is possible, and the high will be around 46.
Though, we do get a full day of partly sunny skies for a change on Friday. Widespread rainfall of one to three inches with locally higher amounts is predicted throughout the evening.
Sunday Night – A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly after 7 p.m. Areas of blowing snow. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Saturday is looking mostly cloudy, windy and warm with highs climbing into the 80s across much of the area.
We start the night with lows in the mid 40s, and then we’ll have some 50s by daybreak on Sunday. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers will be around for Tuesday, with a high temperature of 53 degrees. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible. There will be a better chance for showers starting Monday.

Skies will stay clear for our most of our Christmas Eve, but the break from the rain won’t last long. Friday night: Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 5 a.m. Steady temperature around 34.
Wednesday: Partly sunny with a 30 percent chance of showers.
Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers.
The steadier showers wrap up Saturday night, and our temperatures actually gradually climb throughout the night. Mostly cloudy with a low around 37.
