Dad of slain woman found in Vermont: She had to know killer
Vermont State Police detectives are investigating the discovery of human remains found in the town of Goshen.
Police emphasized the remains have not yet been identified and could not speculate on who it could be.
24-year-old Denise Hart was last seen leaving a friend’s home in Sudbury, Vt on January 25.
The skeletal remains found in Goshen, Vermont Tuesday have been positively identified as Denise Hart by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.
Investigators found the remains off the edge of Gap Road after being notified Tuesday afternoon by a group of citizens who had been in the area.
Police considered her disappearance suspicious because her vehicle was found burned in the area of Conwall Swamp in Corwal. “Our crime scene search team is headed out there today to do recovery and documentation of everything we have out there”. “We would appreciate a phone call”, he said.
The medical examiner has ruled her death a homicide, but the exact cause is not clear.
