Sanders apologises to Clinton over data breach
Polls have consistently shown a growing age gap in the fight for the Democratic nomination: Older Democrats have lined up with 68-year old Hillary Clinton, while younger voters are so far choosing to stand behind Sanders, the 74-year old self-described democratic socialist. Bernie Sanders and former Gov. Martin O’Malley through Saturday’s Democratic presidential debate by stressing her foreign policy experience in the face of an increasing terrorism threat. The Democratic Party bash roiled from within Sat.as the 3rd presidential debate capped off each one week marred by charges of exploitation & sabotage. On the other hand, O’Malley uses the gun control issue to state that his Democratic rivals are “flip-floppers” when it comes to gun control while promoting his own reforms and ban on assault weapons.
“He is becoming ISIS’s best recruiter”, Clinton said of the self-declared Islamic State extremist group, claiming that jihadists are “showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists”. The DNC has referred to as the punishment fitting for Sanders after his staffer exploited a short lived firewall glitch Wed.to access Hillary Clinton’s voter-targeting knowledge. Clinton struck out even more fiercely in her closing statement, pulling in women and LGBT people and reminding them that the GOP is as happy to scapegoat them and take away their rights as they are to scapegoat and take away the rights of Muslims and immigrants. Though her less-than-convincing defense of the Libya intervention has yet to evolve, Clinton scored more retorts and jokes than her opponents, and managed to insert what was surprisingly the night’s only Star Wars reference – using “and may the Force be with you” in place of “and may God bless America” at the end of her closing remarks, which also closed the debate. “And the response from the Clinton campaign did not point to any specific videos”, it said.
“Yes, I apologize”, he said when asked about the controversy during the debate, but he renewed his criticism of the Democratic National Committee for freezing access to his own voter files until the issue was resolved late on Friday.
Still, Sanders said his staff had acted improperly.
“What the DNC did, arbitrarily, without discussing it with us, is shut off our access to our information, crippling our campaign”, Sanders said. His campaign said after the debate it had suspended two more aides.
“I don’t think we should be imposing big new programs that are going to raise middle-class families’ taxes”, the former secretary of state said. Whereas Republicans are engaged in a spirited debate about immigration, foreign policy and NSA surveillance, the three Democrats on stage Saturday offered nothing but leftist platitudes primarily on national security.
Trump, she indicated later, was creating more radicalization by trying to target the communities where radicalization is occurring.
BERNIE SANDERS: “The cost of college education is escalating a lot faster than the cost of inflation”. Sanders said nothing will be accomplished unless there is a consensus, and that he has stood up to the pro-gun lobby. In a recent poll by Quinnipiac University, for example, the country overall favored the use of US ground forces to fight the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria by 54-41.
Clinton emphasized the need for two simultaneous fronts, one against the IS group and the other against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. “I haven’t’ seen any evidence that he killed anybody in terms of reporters”, he said.
“Every dollar you give helps get us one step closer to reaching the voters we need to win in those key early states”, Mook explained.
“The first line of defense against radicalization is in the Muslim-American community, people who we should be welcoming and working with”.
“This is a very, very big deal, and I’m very grateful”, Bill Clinton added. The incident, as well as earlier attacks in Paris, pushed national security to the forefront of the 2016 White House race.
An independent running as a Democrat, Sanders has deeply loyal supporters who are drawn to his economic- and inequality-focused campaign.
