Miss Colombia had a graceful response after being mistakenly crowned Miss Universe

In the incident that he surely won’t live down anytime soon, Steve announced Miss Colombia as the victor and allowed her to start celebrating her victory.
Miss Colombia Ariadna Guiterrez jumped with joy after the host took her country’s name as the victor. But soon after, Colombian media and social networks lit up with reactions to the botched Miss Universe finale on Sunday night, which saw the national contestant crowned and dethroned in a matter of minutes.
“OK, folks, um, I have to apologize”, said Harvey.
Philippine presidential candidates congratulated Wurtzbach, including Miriam Defensor Santiago who tweeted that she wants to meet the beauty queen about the Philippine hosting of USA military bases.
“Pia, good luck to her. I’m sure she’ll be a great Miss Universe”, she said.
The actual victor was Riza Santos, who found out she won when the pageant director called her two days after the competition. “I decided that maybe it was bad timing to do it now”, she said. “So maybe I’ll do that in the future”.
The new Miss Universe admitted she’s “still in awe of everything”, and that she half expects the tiara to be taken away from her, too.
Harvey says it was his mistake, and he would take responsibility for not reading the card correctly that named contestant Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach from the Philippines, pictured left, as the victor and Colombia the first runner-up. Mr Trump now says he thinks they should share the crown. “So I’m happy. I’m happy for all of what I did for becoming this… I’m so happy, thank you for voting for me!”
