‘X Factor’ UK Winner Louisa Johnson is Youngest Champ in Competition
Louisa triumphed over fellow finalists Reggie “N” Bollie and Che Chesterman on this year’s X Factor final, claiming 53.9% of the vote compared to Reggie “N” Bollie’s 38.9% and Che’s 7.2%. “Thank to everyone who has supported us”.
The student from Essex beat Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s duo Reggie N Bollie to clinch the title at a star-studded show at the SSE Arena in Wembley.
The pair are signing the deal after emerging second in the 2015 edition of the X Factor UK music reality show Sunday night. Louisa didn’t have to, all she had to do through the entire competition is be herself, and that was good enough.
Since launching in 2004, Simon Cowell’s talent search has routinely attracted ratings over over 10m.
Also performing live on the show for the very first time, Adele wowed audiences with a breathtaking performance of her smash hit “Hello” from the record-breaking album 25, and performances from Coldplay and One Direction. Louisa took to victory following high-octane performances of songs including Jennifer Hudson’s And I’m Telling You, a duet with mentor Rita Ora, and James Brown’s It’s A Man’s World.
Responding to the link between the two Essex girls, an X Factor spokesperson told The Sun: “Any connection with a former contestant is coincidence”.
The X Factor’s final viewing figures were down compared with past year, despite performances by some of the biggest names in showbusiness.
The group was also shown a video message from a host of famous faces who wished them well during the upcoming hiatus, with Robbie Williams, Little Mix, Danny DeVito, David Beckham, and James Corden each making an appearance.
Louisa Johnson looks set to become the first ever victor of The X Factor to miss the top spot. “Personal life and singing life; two different things and I just want to keep that part of my life here and that part of my life here and just enjoy both of them”.
