Miss Universe 2015: Miss Germany ‘upset’ over Miss Philippines win?
Following the announcement, Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was crowned Miss Universe 2015. Meanwhile, Miss Colombia, 21-year-old Ariadna Gutierrez, left a message for fans in a web video, suggesting that she’s ready to move on from the embarrassing blunder.
Harvey called for attention of the contestants, millions of TV viewers and hundreds of live audience.
COLOMBIANS sympathized with Miss Universe first runner-up Ariadna Gutierrez after she was inadvertently humiliated when she was wrongfully declared as Miss Universe 2015 on Monday (Philippine time). “I was actually very close to her already, but I decided that maybe it was bad timing to do it now – to apologize to her for what happened”.
After Chloe got several thousand retweets for her sentiments, she started commenting on who she thought should win, ironically writing that she really wished Miss Philippines would’ve won after Miss Colombia was announced as the victor.
Radulovic said that the candidates were confused on what was happening onstage, but knew that Harvey made a mistake when he returned on the stage. It was on the card.
And sadly the crowning moment was marred and the program abruptly ended.
“I was very happy for Miss Colombia because she really deserved it. I’m really not happy with the result and so are the other girls, I’m sorry to say it. Because no one of us voted for Philippines”.
Moments later Steve blamed the teleprompter, however we think it was just an honest mistake, that was possibly bound to happen since he ditched rehearsals. “I am so so regretful”.
“I was watching Miss Universe with my family”.
Has Miss Colombia won, it would have been the second consecutive year for a Miss Colombia to nab the Miss Universe title, after last year’s crowned victor, Paulina Vega.
And soon after, he had to “correct his congratulations”, later posting, “Adriana Gutierrez, you are still our Miss Universe!”.
