The Beatles Finally Grace Streaming Music Services Christmas Eve
We are sure there will be plenty of Beatles music streamed this Christmas thanks to all the band’s fans around the world and all the new devices under the Christmas trees tomorrow.
In news that should warm even the Scroogiest of hearts, legendary United Kingdom outfit The Beatles have, as of midnight today, 24 December, made their music available for streaming worldwide on pretty much all the major streaming services.
The Beatles songs online streaming will be offered from albums such as “Rubber Soul”, “Please Please Me”, “A Hard Day’s Night”, “With the Beatles” and “Beatles for Sale, or Help!”.
The band’s recordings are controlled by its own management company, Apple Corps, plus music label EMI. The Beatles’ discography didn’t grace iTunes until 2010, which is over five years after the digital music store rolled out in public.
And British singer Adele withheld her highly anticipated album “25” from streaming services.
The full list of supported services includes Apple Music, Google Play, Spotify, Microsoft Groove, Amazon Music, Tidal, Rhapsody, Deezer and Slacker. The back catalogue of The Beatles is among the best selling in the world, and the studio albums by the band and several other compilations will be available from Christmas Eve.
Streaming services, such as Apple Music have already been flourishing after securing rights with mainstream music icons, including Taylor Swift for exclusive streaming privileges of her album 1989. As the group progressed from pop ballads to psychedelic rock, they sold tens of millions of records. Always a crowd-pleaser, now you can put aside that holiday music and kick up your gathering a few notches with the Beatles.
