Peyton Manning’s Future Could Depend On Saturday Workout

Peyton Manning (foot) will not play Monday against Cincinnati, Mike Klis of 9News in Denver reports.

Factoring in Manning’s reliance on his feet as a foundation to throw and operate as a quarterback on the grid-iron and the situation becomes even more grim. A large part of that is because of the teammates that I have around myself.

And also because he’s a left guard.

The 39-year-old Manning suffered the injury in the Broncos’ Nov. 8 loss in Indianapolis.

Mathis is back this week, though.

First, the Broncos have to get there. Their defense is simply too good to be beat by a quarterback getting his second National Football League start. Or on Pro Bowl cornerback Chris Harris Jr. giving up two touchdowns to Antonio Brown (16 catches for 189 yards) after not yielding a TD since 2013.

Pass rushers Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware will undoubtedly try to bring the heat on McCarron.
