CONFIRMED: Arsenal FC agree a deal to sign Mohamed Elneny
Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Basel defensive midfielder Mohamed Elneny, according to the Daily Mirror.
He could thus be an excellent short-term replacement for Coquelin while the Frenchman recovers from his injury and also remain a versatile midfielder for the future.
Hitcsport, reports that the 31 year old midfielder could leave Arsenal since there are no indications from the club that a new contract is on the cards and as his contract expires in the summer of 2016 it implies the French global could leave the club on a Bosman.
While he is far from the finished article he has shown great ability to dictate play from midfield as well as terrific work rate and would likely improve rapidly under Wenger’s tutelage.
