Cowboys’ Bryant out vs Bills, injury-filled year may be over
Claiborne, 25, did not make the trip with the team on Saturday and will not play against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, according to the Star-Telegram’s Drew Davison.
NO DEZ? Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant’s status is uncertain because he has been bothered by injuries to his right foot and ankle.
It will be yet another close game as we have seen all season, but this week I think Dallas finds a way to win. A big receiver with 4.4 wheels, Butler could earn a role next season by closing out this one strong.
There’s no question that injuries have made Garrett’s job much more hard this season, but the NFC East was really anyone’s for the taking.
The real surprise of the game was how well the Cowboys rushing attack did against a stout Jets defense. It looks like he will be replaced with Karlos Williams who has been solid on limited carries this year. Taylor is 9-of-11 for 119 yards and the pick. Things seem to fall into place around the entire team when the quarterback play is superb. Neither offer the dynamic running style that McCoy does, but, they’ll have a fantastic opportunity to further their reputation with the coaching staff, and to set the tone against Dallas. No matter what Garrett may say, it appears that Dallas is laying the groundwork to sit him against the Buffalo Bills to allow his injuries to heal more, and may do so the following week as well.
“Claiborne, like Bryant, has also been ruled out for Sunday”s game. They’ve been playing better than most people are giving them credit for. Tight end Jason Witten is listed as probable with a chest injury, but he should be ready to play on Sunday against the Bills and give the Cowboys’ offense a jolt they need.
Darren McFadden has been a bright spot in a dark season for the ‘Boys.
