Madonna Shares Sweet Photo With Son Rocco Amid Custody Battle
Pop singer Madonna looks down at her son Rocco held by film director Guy Ritchie as they leave Dornoch Cathedral in Dornoch, Scotland, December 21, 2000.
On Christmas day, the 57-year-old took to her social media sites to uploaded one of her eldest child, Lourdes, simply captioned: ‘She needs a moment!’ She added some “xoxo” and a few heart emojis on the photo which was taken at Madonna’s birthday party this past August.
Estranged… Madonna failed in her quest to get son Rocco home for Christmas. In a move to show Rocco what he was missing out on, she also posted photographs of Rocco’s brother, David Banda, 10, and sisters Lourdes, 19, and Mercy James, 9, enjoying themselves on Christmas.
MADONNA likes to control her own image but has no problems posting embarrassing snaps of her rebellious son for her millions of followers. Although it is stated that under the terms of their NY divorce Rocco would live with his mother, the 15-year-old has said that he does not want to return stateside to stay with her for the Christmas holidays.
In an interview in August, Madonna said that Rocco did not want to perform on stage with her and would be working backstage on her tour as “your mom is not cool” at his age.
It’s not exactly clear why, but Rocco has been fighting against living with his mother in NY.
“I’m directing the child to be returned to NY”, the Manhattan judge Deborah Kaplan responded, according to Page Six.
While lawyers for both Madonna and Mr Ritchie in NY declined to comment.
In the hearing, the judge ruled that Rocco must return to the Big Apple to speak with his mother before deciding which parent he would prefer to stay with.
