Kelly: McCoy not reason for speech about emotions
It has strong playoff implications for both teams.
The Bills are 6-6 and now sit in the eight spot in the AFC playoff standings, behind a pack that consists of Kansas City, the Jets and Steelers. Whether they have to get physical and stop the run, or drop back and force a turnover, Arizona’s defense can do it all.
LeSean McCoy returned to Philadelphia on Sunday.
“From our perspective, we couldn’t be happier with (the trade)”, Buffalo coach Rex Ryan said of McCoy, who was acquired in March for linebacker Kiko Alonso. “Let’s call now, ‘” Kelly said.
Bradford is not at the level of most valuable players and Super Bowl winners but the progression Kelly is referring to with Bradford is evident post bye week.
“How he was traded, it wasn’t handled right”, Kelly conceded. The Eagles’ running back trio matched McCoy with 63 yards. “So yeah, I would say that’s the next stage”. CSN Philly’s John Clark has the highlights from the game.
Can the Philadelphia Eagles keep building off of last weekend’s victory?
Special Teams: The punt coverage team recovered a muffed punt to set up an early Eagles’ touchdown, Caleb Sturgis knocked down all three of his field goals, and Darren Sproles’ returns set up the Eagles with fantastic field position on their last two drives. Watkins is a consistent deep ball threat who will burn the Eagle’s average secondary if given the chance.
Buffalo, once again, lost a crucial football game to a less talented team late in the season, becoming their own worst enemy in the process.
“They made that play”.
The Eagles actually overcame a pair of Dennis Kelly holds before Agholor split double coverage for the touchdown.
The Buffalo Bills vs Philadelphia Eagles game has an early start time today.
Left tackle Jason Peters has only played every snap in three games this season. The weakest point of this Eagles’ team is clearly their weak receiving corps, which can not seem to consistently hit big plays or make short catches to sustain drives. Buffalo started that drive at the Eagles 46 after an unsportsmanlike penalty on Philadelphia’s Riley Cooper on a punt.
It must be noted that McCoy did shake hands with Eagles owner Jeffery Laurie before the game and even went to mid-field and kissed the Eagles logo. This will also open passing lanes up for Tyrod Taylor to exploit the Eagle’s secondary. It’s no easy task for McCoy to forget his days in Philadelphia, especially after leading the franchise for years, becoming its all-time leader in rushes.
