Dilwale 10th Day Collection, Crosses 125 Cr till 2nd Weekend in India

Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra starrer released along with Dilwale, directed by Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol as lead pair on the same day. The total Box office collections of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie has minted up to Rs. 120.45 Crores only in India.

When two of the biggest films – Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani were set to release on the same day, many advised the respective filmmakers to not clash as that would result in the business getting divided. After two weekends, both the films which opened together on December 18 are nearly pacing close to each other.

‘Bajirao Mastani’ nonetheless has also witnessed the title of the highest second best weekend earner after ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Come second Friday, the film faced major competition from the worldwide release Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with collections falling below Thursday’s numbers. By the eighth day it made Rs 110.76 crores. Going by the 2nd weekend collections, the movie has earned INR 7.25 crores on Sunday, taking the film’s total collection to INR 118.25 crores.

Bhansali’s directorial venture “Bajirao Mastani” is the love story of the Peshwa Bajirao and the half-Muslim Bundelkhandi princess Mastani. While Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone re-written the box-office records and also in a series of tweets on December 26, Adarsh shared how the “tables had turned”: The tables have turned. Soon it will overtake Bajirao Mastani at the box office. But Dilwale’s poor reviews and Bajirao Mastani’s own fabulous audience-talk quickly changed the fortunes in favor of the SLB film.
