Midwest storm brings twisters, floods, and it’s not over yet
The creek is not expected to fall below flood stage until early Monday. At least three people were killed from the storm in Collin County, the sheriff’s office said.

At least 11 people have died, while dozens were injured in strong tornadoes that swept through the Dallas area and caused substantial damage this weekend, while 12 people died in flooding in the Midwest.
Eight people died and 15 were injured in Garland, which is about 20 miles northeast of Dallas.
“This is a huge impact on our community, and we’re all suffering”, Garland Police Lt. Pedro Barineau told The Associated Press.
A storm on Christmas Day in 2012 which included several tornadoes damaged homes from Texas to Alabama.
Three other deaths were reported in the Dallas metropolitan area, the United States’ fourth most populous with about 7 million people.
Hardest-hit was the Dallas suburb of Garland, where authorities confirmed eight fatalities after a tornado packing winds of up to 200 miles (320 kilometers) per hour bore down on the city.
Five tornadoes were reported in Texas and one in Oklahoma on Saturday, the National Weather Service said.
In the Southeast, torrential rain and flooding have been blamed for 19 deaths, with 10 people dying in MS, six in Tennessee, two in Alabama and one in Arkansas.
The National Weather Service has issued winter storm or flood warnings for much of IL on Monday.

The storms came on the heels of tornadoes that hit two days before Christmas, killing at least 18 people in Mississippi.
At least 11 people lost their lives as tornadoes tore through Texas as they search for more victims after a freak storms lashed the United States. He also warned people to be wary of snow in western parts of the state and of rivers spilling their banks.
In New Mexico, a massive winter storm slamming the southeastern part of the state shut down Interstate 40’s eastbound lanes from Albuquerque to the Texas state line.
“American and its employees stand ready to assist in the recovery efforts and we encourage our customers to join us by donating to the Red Cross”, said Joe Taney, American’s vice president for Dallas-Fort Worth Hub Operations.
The man and a child were swept away by the flooding, the report added, and the child was later found safe at a neighbor’s home.
Flash floods, tornadoes and now snow have destroyed hundreds of homes and businesses and snarled transport links. Three bodies were found in other towns.
The National Weather Service says “disastrous” flooding will occur in eastern Oklahoma, where some areas received up to a foot of rain over the weekend.
