Early voting puts Kobe Bryant in front for All-Star game

The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers appear to have become one of the most one-sided mismatches in the National Basketball Association.

Oklahoma City picked up its second win in three days inside of the Staples Center as the Thunder beat the Lakers 120-85 to improve to 20-9 on the year.

“That was really special”, Bryant said. “I was hurting all night, but I still felt like I played well and played a solid all-around game for the minutes that I was in there”. They have won 12 of their last 13 meetings with the Lakers. Bryant said he told the Oklahoma City Thunder star swingman. Much of that was due to the Thunder’s domination inside, where they outscored the Lakers 38-12 on points in the paint.

The Kobe farewell tour is in full effect with Bryant showing a resurgence to NBA-level play in the previous few games. “That third quarter, they just blitzed us, man. They got ahead with their athleticism and their speed and their length, and we we couldn’t get the game under control”.

Kobe Bryant has helped his Lakers to last place in the NBA Western Conference and at his rate, he is on pace to finish the season with the lowest single season field goal percentage for a player in NBA history, according to NBC Sports. I think there’s -the game has been skewed a little more towards point guards and there being a tremendous amount of -you know, that being said, I think there’s going to be a player that over the next ten years is going rise above them all, maybe, right? “So there’s no sense in yelling at it”.

The Thunder led by 10 after the first quarter, then saw the Lakers come back to take a 42-39 lead in the second quarter before the decisive run. Point guard Russell Westbrook scored 33 points against the Clippers for his top scoring output of the month.

Bryant’s sneakers dangled from Durant’s bag as he exited the arena.

“I’m just very, very thankful to be able to play this many games on Christmas”, he added. “And I don’t see any debate in that”. He’d be unstoppable in the block, at his size.

“That type of stuff is the stuff that I’ll miss”. He’s averaged 27.4 points in his 14 starts on December 25, but the Lakers are 5-9.

The Lakers played without reserve guard Nick Young (gastroenteritis) and forward Julius Randle (ankle).
