Authorities Searching For Woman Caught On Surveillance Throwing Her Dog
A woman caught on camera tossing a small dog violently into the street by its leg is being hunted by police in Fairfield, California.
On the video posted to Facebook on December 19, the Fairfield woman is shown marching up a driveway and dragging a black pug by its forelimb, while a purse dangles from the woman’s opposite arm. They said they believe she abused the dog before.
The roommate of Chin’s boyfriend said the dog was hurt in a heated argument between the couple. Police say witnesses wanted to take the pug away, but Chin stormed off with the pug before anyone could.
She confirmed that Chin had thrown the animal and agreed Ben should be taken off her.
Animal control officers and law enforcement now believe the alleged culprit may be keeping out of sight, probably in Vallejo, fearing repercussions following her recently publicized actions.
The ex-boyfriend said he had never seen her do anything like this before.
William Leonard Dodson, of SC, was arrested on animal cruelty charges after his dog was found with electrical tape wrapped around her muzzle. She faces possible animal cruelty charges, although finding her has been hard.
A video of a woman violently throwing a dog in Fairfield has sparked outrage on social media and led to an animal abuse investigation in Fairfield. Fairfield PD did respond out Thursday with Humane Animal Services.
“She just took it and threw it?” said reporter Doug Johnson. Authorities said they will have the dog checked by a veterinarian once they find it. “We are also interested in speaking to the person who recorded the video so we can thoroughly investigate the case”.
