LeSean McCoy is supposedly partying with former teammates on Sunday night
“We have ourselves to blame”. “There’s always going to be that”.
The last time Philadelphia Eagles fans heard from Ed Reynolds II, the temperature in Philadelphia was, well, only slightly warmer than it was Sunday afternoon. He used tight end Zach Ertz (five catches, 98 yards) as a safety blanket, and made very few mistakes throughout the day.
The Eagles also scored a touchdown on their first possession of the game, a 6-yard drive that saw them convert a couple of third-down situations and finally cash in when running back Darren Sproles scored on a 1-yard run to make it 7-0. McCoy, who left Philadelphia with bad words coming out of his mouth about Kelly left and right? “But I’ve said it and I’ll continue to say it, I just see improvement from Sam on a weekly basis that gets you excited about him”. “Maybe you were playing a team that has a lot of penalties going into the game, just statistically, when you look at it”. Bradford has steadily improved since the start of the season.
The Philadelphia Eagles seem to have been one troublesome team since the moment this season began and even before.
The Philadelphia Eagles ruined LeSean McCoy’s homecoming and kept pace in the NFC East race with a 23-20 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.
McCoy, the Eagles’ all-time leading rusher, was dealt to Buffalo for linebacker Kiko Alonso last March. Bradford was 23-for-38 for 247 yards, a 53-yard TD pass to rookie Nelson Agholor and an interception that wasn’t his fault. Peters left the game Sunday with an ankle injury in the second quarter.
However, the running back’s efforts were not enough as the Eagles got solid play from all sides of the field. Perhaps adding to the sting of the loss is that McCoy played relatively well, rushing for 74 yards (24 of which came on one play) on 20 carries and catching four passes for 35 yards.
As for the quarterback matchup, The Bills’ Tyrod Taylor has shown consistency this season, though he is really an unheralded starter to begin the season.
Despite being a team that regularly commits a ton of penalties, Rex Ryan and his staff were upset with a number of calls that went against them in the Philadelphia game, as they made a huge difference in the Bills’ three-point loss. Punter Donnie Jones had a 43.3-yard net average. Sproles led the way with 41 yards on seven carries. The Eagles did have a couple of sloppy special teams penalties.
