Star Wars Comes To Disneyland
Don’t worry-Big Thunder Railroad, the best roller coaster at Disneyland- will remain open.
Disneyland is set to close multiple attractions and eateries next month to make room for the new “Star Wars”-themed land in the Orange County theme park”.
The park will permanently close Big Thunder Ranch in Frontierland, Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue, Big Thunder Ranch petting zoo and Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree, starting January 10.

Meanwhile, attractions along the Rivers of America will be temporarily closed once the operating day on January 10 ends.
There has been no opening date announced, but some experts are predicting it to be about a year away.
Walt Disney Company Chairman and CEO Bob Iger talked about the Star Wars expansion when he said, “We are creating a jaw-dropping new world that represents our largest single themed land expansion ever”.
Amazingly, while Disneyland will offer less things for visitors to do while the Star Wars area is built, Disney is charging more for tickets.
Disneyland will feature two signature attractions, according to a news release from Disney Parks.
Disneyland is getting a “Star Wars” face-lift. In all, 14 acres will be temporarily closed or converted to Star Wars attractions.
“I love the idea of Star Wars Land, maybe just not where it’s going to be”.
This move to expand Disneyland comes amidst stiff competition with Universal Studios, both in Hollywood and in Orlando with their addition of Harry Potter World.
Some new attractions in the development had already been revealed, including a cool-as-hell ride where you get to pilot the bloody Millennium Falcon.
He noted that attendance increased during an expansion of Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom in Florida from 2011 to 2014. “They capitalized on it”. It was a childhood favorite – she was brought to tears at the memories – but it’s coming down in favor of “Star Wars Land”.
“The market will dictate how aggressive Disney will have to be to counter the effects of the construction”, he said.
