Wife of Dolphins CB lashes out at Tannehill on Twitter
The reporter said former Dolphins coach Joe Philbin said he informed Grimes in a meeting that he needed to talk to Miko about her social media behavior, saying it reflected poorly on the team.
Miko Grimes, the wife of Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes, took to Twitter to express her sadness about this season in a rant that may have lacked in eloquence but had enough imagery to ruin nature’s beauty of a mother bird feeding her children in a nest. She didn’t rip the signing at the time though because she was looking out for “Bae”.
Salguero defended himself from Miko’s accusations, writing that he had just written a column about wanting to trade Tannehill to the New Orleans Saints. But after the Dolphins sputtered to a 18-12 loss to Indianapolis, Miko sprayed some exceptionally caustic vitriol toward QB Ryan Tannehill, and the media members and fans who support him.
The truly inflammatory tweets, according to Deadspin, were directed toward reporters Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post and Adam Beasley and Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald and anyone agreeing with them.
Miko is known for being outspoken. She shared her thoughts on Twitter, and definitely didn’t hold back.
Earlier this season, she was arrested on charges of battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct outside of Sun Life Stadium before a Bills-Dolphins game. There also has been concern over whether Miko Grimes’ opinions are reflective of things her husband might believe about his team.
She also addressed the three reporters by name before writing, ‘f*** all three of yall with magic johnson’s d***’.
However, despite being less than stellar on the backend, the Dolphins’ pass defense stepped up on Sunday in a way they haven’t all season. Ryan Tannehill very easily could have had one himself, but he threw a pick in the end zone and had three straight incompletions at the five-yard line with less than a minute left.
