Manchester United chiefs don’t want Jose Mourinho as manager
Mourinho though out of job after a woeful stint this season with Chelsea has insisted he is not taking a break from coaching and he is open to coaching. Much like numerous Madrid fans around the world, I wasn’t and am still not a huge fan of Jose Mourinho.
David de Gea’s failed move to the Santiago Bernabeu last summer has apparently not deterred Real Madrid, and the Spanish giants will look to bring the player back to Spain next summer.
Paul Scholes called the scarf-seller a “clown” live on BT Sport and I’m sure many other United fans are just as divided over the club’s future.
“I don’t think United are in a hurry to do anything at all”.
It makes sense to suggest United would have made their move for Mourinho by now had they wanted him, with United in the midst of their worst winless streak since the 1989-90 campaign.
Mourinho, axed by Chelsea earlier this month, is being backed by many United fans to replace Louis van Gaal after a woeful run of form. He said: “Mourinho and Madrid have already been united once and I am convinced they will be together again and that will be good for everyone”.
They have been saying that for some games now. In my opinion, he is a coach who has the confidence of the club and must be given time. “We’re halfway through the season and evaluations are best conducted at the end”.
Benitez has not been a success and, despite a remarkable 10-2 win over Rayo Vallecano, is clinging on to his job as well as being aware of Real Madrid’s interest in his bitter rival Mourinho.
