Reporter Stands By Peyton Manning Doping Allegation
HGH is a banned in the National Football League, which began testing for the substance prior to the 2014 season.
However, prior to going undercover for Al Jazeera – and after a stint as a dancer on “Britain’s Got Talent” – Collins was caught in a scandal of his own in which he was accused of duping investors out of more than $1 million in a real estate scheme. That means, because he’s public figure he’ll have to show that Al jazeera knew or should have known it was false. Sly says on the hidden camera that Ashley Manning was sent drugs.
Sly has previously retracted the claims he made in the Al Jazeera documentary.
Specifically the doc alleges that he received a shipment of human growth hormone in 2011! Now sly said he made it all up to test the reporter and recanting in a video posted online. “Peyton Manning has never done what this person is suggesting'”.
Sly later recanted his statement.
If Peyton Manning plans on suing for Sunday night’s Al Jazeera report, he may have a tough go at it, legal experts say. Al Jazeera reporter Deborah Davies told MSNBC that she stands by her story and said Manning has not denied the allegation that he had HGH shipped to his wife. “I have not heard anyone deny that”.
Manning, who said he was “furious” and “disgusted”, addressed the issue during an interview with ESPN’s Lisa Salters.
When the news first broke during the Deflategate scandal, Manning spoke out in a similarly cautious way, though did make clear that he views Brady as a friend.
“It’s completely fabricated, complete trash, garbage – there’s more adjectives I’d like to be able to use. It never happened. Never”, Manning said in a statement released by the Broncos.
Brady, whose personal workout guru has allegedly made specious medical claims, per the Federal Trade Commission (via Boston Magazine’s Chris Sweeney), said he likely would not reach out to Manning to offer advice.
“When you have a big story that’s out there, other people report on it. They get stuff wrong”, Davies said.
Sly was a pharmacy intern in 2013 at the Guyer Institute in Indianapolis, where Manning had treatment in 2011.
“I am proud to have treated Peyton and helped him through his rehabilitation”, Guyer said. You hate to see your good friends go through anything like that. “He’s been one of the best players to ever play the game”. “What hurts me the most about this, whoever this guy is, this slapstick trying to insinuate that in 2011, when more than less I had a broken neck – I had four neck surgeries… Those are always challenging times, but he’s a tough guy”, Tom continued.
“I just hope its not true, but you never know”, said Ben Jafari, a Colts fan.
