UNC can’t match Baylor’s offense in 49-38 Russell Bowl loss

Firstly, Baylor has led in scoring for this season and has averaged 48 points a game, while North Carolina came in at 11th and averages almost 41 points a game. UNC running back Elijah Hood opened the Heels’ next drive with a 67-yard run down to the eight, but T.J. Logan fumbled at the goal line two plays later, giving the ball back to Baylor. If this game were being played seven days after each teams last, the under would be the right side, but with the extra time both offenses will have plenty in the arsenal to make this a massively high scoring game.

Baylor would score again on their next possession when Terrence Williams ran for a three yard touchdown. It would give the Bears their 10th win of the season, marking the third straight year for double-digit wins.

Fedora will have to replace some prominent playmakers, like quarterback Marquise Williams, offensive guard Landon Turner and wide receiver Quinshad Davis on offense and linebackers Jeff Schoettmer and Shakeel Rashad on defense. He averaged 14.4 yards per carry in the first half. They hung 49 points on No. 10 North Carolina, winning more comfortably than No. 1 Clemson did in the ACC Championship.
