Chelsea’s facing paying Radamel Falcao over £3MILLION after striker suffers
Radamel Falcao has suffered another significant injury setback that could lumber Chelsea with the striker and his £140,000-a-week wages for the rest of the season.
Falcao moved to Stamford Bridge on loan from Monaco in the summer after completing a similar injury-plagued spell at Manchester United.
Chelsea interim boss Guus Hiddink says Falcao has suffered a recurrence of his thigh problem during training, and that it will be “10 days” before he is fit. “He’s having treatment at the moment but he can not appear on the pitch”.
“Our medical staff tried to build him up and he had a setback which is not a positive signal”.
“We had him in a game and he had this injury again that he had before”.

However, Monaco have the final say on cancelling the deal, and are unlikely to want to take back an expensive, injured player.
When asked if Remy and Falcao’s ongoing injury issues could draw Chelsea into the transfer market for a striker, Hiddink added: “If it’s a longer period of instability regarding the recovery of strikers and we just have Diego, I will see”. He’s having a hard time regarding his injuries.
