Instagram adds search feature to the Web
Users can now search hashtags, profiles and locations on instagram.com in a viewing experience that is beginning to grow much more congruous with the Instagram mobile app where content is still created on. While that sounds simple enough, it would have been nice to have a third option where you could search from the Instagram desktop website. Users of the service can now search for users on Instagram’s website, hashtags, and even places, making the desktop version of Instagram a lot more functional than before.
The update has been released worldwide.
Unlike Instagram on mobile devices, its Web presence delivers an inferior experience.
Discovery has never been Instagram’s strong suit, but these changes went a long way toward fixing that.

The most recent iteration of the website enables journalists and others to do that. The service also tweaked tag pages to make it easier to discover popular content.
