Juventus standing firm amid Pogba speculation
“[If Joan Laporta is re-elected Barca President, Pogba] has a big chance of joining Barca”, he was quoted as saying by Marca on Thursday.
“Whoever is interested in the player needs to talk to Juventus and not with Mino Raiola, who is nonetheless his (Pogba’s) agent,” Marotta told the Spanish press.
However, Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta has insisted the 22-year-old will not be going anywhere this summer, despite the continued advances of Barcelona.
Juventus turned down a reported 80m euros bid from Barcelona earlier in July after the European champions sent a delegation, led by the club’s worldwide sporting director Ariedo Braida, to Milan for negotiations.
And Paul Pogba’s agent has now admitted that should Laporta win the election, Pogba could sign for the Catalan giants.
Juventus have slapped a “not for sale” notice on midfielder Paul Pogba.
“The situation is very clear between Barca and Juventus after the meeting we had in Milan. But the player is not for sale”, Marotta said.
“I don’t know Albert Soler”.
“We have been negotiating with Barcelona for months, from one club to another, in a serious and transparent manner”.
“Barcelona made a serious and concrete offer, but we responded the same way and rejected it”. The trip to Turin seemed political, they were there to take a photograph.
In a recent interview with EFE, Raiola spoke about the future of his most prized client and stressed that should candidate Joan Laporta win the election over Josep Maria Bartomeu, Pogba could be in blaugrana next season.
But Chelsea are said to be reluctant to sell Moses to their London rivals, but a deal could be reached if they are successful in their pursuit of Barcelona star Pedro.
