Perhaps with that in mind or maybe because it was the Chargers’ last home game of the season, coach Mike McCoy took out Rivers and long-time teammates Antonio Gates and Malcolm Floyd in the final minute of the game, giving the team’s fans perhaps a final chance to salute the trio. He finished the day with eight carries for 10 yards, six catches for 50 yards and all four of the team’s touchdowns, becoming the first Charger to score four times in a game since LaDainian Tomlinson did it in 2007. RB Danny Woodhead notched all four Chargers touchdowns – three receiving, one rushing – and kicker Josh Lambo hit a 28-yard field goal in the second quarter (Lambo missed an extra point and 48-yard field goal attempt). “We’re going to come in Wednesday and go to work and clean up the issues, put together a good game plan for Indy and go to work”.

Speaking of relocation, the Chargers (4-10) defeated Miami 30-14 in what could have been their last home game in Qualcomm Stadium. The Dolphins have struggled against the pass, allowing 261.8 yards per game, which ranks 26 in the NFL. Woodhead scored from 2 yards out for a 16-0 San Diego advantage.
