Rose Parade kicks off under sunny Pasadena skies
Featuring a sport, attractive floats, marching bands and equestrians, the 127th Tournament of Roses Parade, traditionally is to be held in Pasadena, California, start time at 8:00 PM PST.
More than two dozen local and national law-enforcement agencies combined forces to create a relatively quiet event with only nine overnight arrest along the parade route, and no major incidents during the parade, according to authorities.
The Rose Parade 2016, also well-known as the Tournament Of Roses Parade 2016, will take place on January 1, 2016 with millions set to join the New Year’s festivities live at the event and on TV.
The parade route this year will see the floats travel from the corner of Green Street and Orange Grove Boulevard in Pasadena.

“Find Your Adventure” is this year’s theme that drives to respect the country’s national parks and wildlife.
“That’s something new for the parade, but we feel it’s the prudent thing to do given Paris, San Bernardino, Mali”, Sanchez said.
The Rose Parade’s security will be tighter this year. Earlier, he said he has been a fan of the parade since he was a child, though he had never before attended in person. For the first time this year though, he had a conversation with his wife about the potential dangers of going to the parade.
One of the marching bands is scheduled to be the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park Marching Band, which earlier this year was named the Flight I state champion at the Michigan Competing Band Association at Ford Field in Detroit.
Mark Selby, deputy special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations in Los Angeles and the federal coordinator for the Rose Parade and security, said the plan involved unprecedented resources and technologies. It will depict a romantic fantasy adventure date on an exotic tropical island.
Authorities warned Rose Bowl spectators of a long list of items that would not be allowed inside the stadium, including banners, large beverage containers and drones.
Though identity of the skywriters remains unknown, one witness, the Huffington Post’s Ariel Edwards-Levy, tweeted she saw a link also written in the sky to a site called Anybodybuttrump.us, which uses the same language as the message as seen over the parade route.
