Chelsea Clinton Announces Pregnancy on Twitter

Chelsea Clinton, the only child of former US President Bill Clinton and Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary, is expecting her second child.

Clinton, 35, tweeted an adorable photo of her 14-month-old daughter, Charlotte, reading a page from a book that says: “Big sisters are the best”.

The latest trend right now in the United States presidential campaign seems to be about who can produce the most flawless family image. We are so excited to satisfy our 2nd grandchild!

As Hillary Clinton knows from previous presidential campaigns, politicking means picking your food carefully.

Only 20 minutes after Clinton shared the tweet, it already had 385 shares and 1,100 thousand likes, and some of her 987,000 followers were tweeting back congratulations.

“Luckily, my daughter and her husband are obviously well educated, they work hard, they’ll provide everything Charlotte needs”, Clinton has said at campaign events.

Bill echoed his wife’s wishes tweeting, “Christmas comes early!”.

Reportedly, it’s one of the first times Chelsea posted a picture of her baby daughter on social media since her birth in September of previous year. Her husband is a money manager. She said “it’s important, for, yes, symbolic reasons – symbols are important; it is important who and what we choose to elevate, and to celebrate”.
