$300M Powerball Results for Wednesday December 31

Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in San Jose for Wednesday’s drawing will be $1.9 million richer in the new year, California Lottery officials said today.

Powerball drawings are held at 10:59 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays and are broadcast on 8News.

In Michigan, over 72,000 ticket holders won at least $4 each including 3 players that matched 4 white balls and the red Powerball for a $50,000 prize.

The next drawing will take place Saturday, Jan. 2.

The victor will have the option of taking a one-time cash payment of $184.2 million.

Winners are rare, but a Zephyrhills woman hit the jackpot in 2013.

The Powerball jackpot has risen to $334 million, the 12th largest in the game’s history. “Both prizes must be claimed at Hoosier Lottery headquarters at 1302 N. Meridian St.in Indianapolis”, the release states.
