Jeb Bush: Obama created and gave Trump chance
“I would argue that Donald Trump is in fact a creature of Barack Obama”, the former Florida governor said in an interview broadcast Thursday on NPR’s “Morning Edition.”
U.S. Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump on Monday told supporters he wanted to be “unpredictable” in a speech for supporters in New Hampshire, while competitor Jeb Bush said he wanted a chance to debate Trump one-on-one.
Bush’s presidential campaign released a web video on Wednesday that sarcastically wished Trump, the Republican front-runner, a happy 2016 – while calling him the “chaos candidate”. “I don’t know, look, it wasn’t that long ago that people wanted signatures on things, and now, forget that”.
“I think the emotion of the here and now will subside”, Bush said.
“Today, given the fluid race and the spending decisions by outside groups, we are making strategic adjustments with our resources to ensure we are in the most competitive position possible”, said a statement from the Bush campaign. Asked about the effect of Trump’s proposed temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States on Republican primary voters, Bush replied, “In a month from now, voters won’t agree with him”. He also showered insults on Bush, who has called for his party to become more tolerant and inclusive.
He also was asked about his GOP rival Trump, whose Mar-A-Lago mansion is only a few miles from where Bush spoke and who had been in town in recent days.
His claim has provoked a lively online debate. Most surveys show Texas Sen.
Here’s the truth: Once you decide to run for president, you have no choice but to basically give up on whatever other job you now hold, because a presidential campaign is incredibly demanding.
“You name it and I’ll do it”, the former Florida governor said.
The rivalry between Trump and Bush has been simmering for a while, but will come to boil pretty soon, is what many political experts and analysts believe.
The GOP candidate’s campaign will cancel planned advertising buys in Iowa and SC, and shift its Miami headquarters, NBC News reported. “I’m not leaving until I get it.’ So we spend a lot of quality time doing that”, he quipped with his signature sarcasm.
Bush was cornered with the question recently in a conference by one of the reporters.
