Shraddha Kapoor roped in for Mohit Suri’s ‘Half Girlfriend’

According to reports, Shraddha will be playing the lead actress in “Half Girlfriend”.

In view of Chetan Bhagat novel of the same name, Half Girlfriend is directed by Mohit Suri. A love story, it talks about the relationship between a boy from a rural background, Madhav and a sophisticated English-speaking Delhi girl, Riya who become friends, separate, reunite and part again to unite in the end. Suri has effectively performed Shraddha in Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain.

For Shraddha, it will be her second movie that is adapted from a book, the other one being Vishal Bhardwaj’s “Haider” which was based on William Shakespeare tragedy “Hamlet”.

Rumors were doing the rounds that Parineeti Chopra or Kriti Sanon might bag the role. Thereafter, Arjun Kapoor was approached for the role.

This Modi Suri directed movie will be based on Chetan Bhagat novel of the same name.

Just yesterday Shraddha Kapoor who is now busy with her next venture Rock On 2, posted an image on twitter wishing her fans a magical new year.
