Censor’s New Year Shock To Telugu Release
“Killing Veerappan” is a Crime-Thriller movie directed by the Sensation Director Ram Gopal Varma. The film is based on real story of Sandalwood smuggler Veerappan. The film, shot simultaneously in Kannada and Telugu, opened in India on January 1st and has critics fall over themselves with the kind of praise that Varma hasn’t enjoyed in almost a decade.
But now, just a few hours before the film’s release, RGV received a huge shock from the censor board. Veerappan is a Sandalwood smuggler who was active for years in forest lands covering the states of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The film is produced by B. V. Manjunath, Co-producers B. S. Sudhindra, E. Shivaprakash, under the production of ZED3 Pictures & G.R. Pictures. The movie music was composed by Music Director Ravi Shankar.
The film is based on the events leading to Operation Cocoon to capture or kill Indian bandit Veerappan.
Killing Veerappan Movie 1st Day Collections will be Approximately Rs. 5.8 Crore. In order to nab this dreaded criminal the government invested one billion INR based search operation called Operation Cocoon, which is among the costliest ever operation in India to nab a man. The film revolves around the said operation and killing this dreaded poacher and criminal in the forests of south India. Veerappan killed 184 civilians, 97 policemen, and 900 elephants.
Killing Veerappan movie is based on the life of forest brigand Veerappan. And with the Sankranthi biggies coming in to storm the trade, it is highly unlikely that Killing Veerappan weep make it to the screens until the last of week of January. RGV directed this Movie very well, All the actors who played the lead role and supporting role performed up to their mark. Everyone feel that they are watching real incidents during seeing the movie. Actress Yagna Shetty has played the sandalwood smuggler’s wife.
