Teresa Giudice has ’emotional’ homecoming from prison
After serving one year on a fraud conviction at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, her attorney James Leonard picked up the “Real Housewife” in the early morning on Wednesday.
According to a new tweet, Teresa Giudice’s home is being watched by the media and many news stations are hoping that she will come out and speak.
She will spend the rest of her sentence under house arrest.
Guidice and her husband, Joe, pleaded guilty in March 2014 to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and three types of bankruptcy fraud, after racking up $5 million in mortgages and construction loans.
What are your thoughts on Teresa Giudice being released from prison the day before Christmas Eve? A Lexus wrapped in a red bow was waiting for her in her driveway.
Giudice, who had been in prison since January 5, will continue to be under home confinement until February 5. TMZ says the network isn’t sure whether they will use the footage in the new season of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” or turn it into a special. She just wants to be back home with her family. The Danbury facility is best known as the prison home for other famous female felons, including Leona Helmsley and Piper Kerman of “Orange is the New Black“.
43-year old Giudice will be reunited with her husband Joe, and four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audrina, Wednesday.
Teresa’s sentence has not yet been completed. Leonard also said that his client is in good spirits and is looking forward to spending the holidays with her family. The judge in their case staggered their sentences for the sake of their four daughters, aged 5 to fourteen. “And then when that period ends, she will begin a (two-year) period of supervised release”.
