Al Jazeera reporter: Documentary not alleging Peyton Manning used HGH
One of the journalists behind a documentary linking Peyton Manning to performance-enhancing drugs is now clarifying her report. Deborah Davies, an Al Jazeera investigative reporter who was involved in the documentary, said Sunday that her team reached out to Sly at the beginning of the month, but they “didn’t hear anything from him until 48 hours ago”.
“It’s defamation and it really ticks me off”, Peyton Manning told ESPN about a that he used HGH. Although Manning has vehemently denied these claims, the documentary, which is the result of an in-depth investigation, does have some eye-opening evidence to back allegations.
Manning, who has dismissed the report as “garbage” and vowed to sue Al Jazeera, addressed the allegation regarding his wife after the Al Jazeera report aired Sunday night.
According to NFL Network, Manning’s wife did have a prescription from the Guyer Institute, although the name of the drug was not released. In a transcript from the report that was published by Huffington Post, Sly is very clearly implying that Ashley Manning received shipments of HGH for Peyton. Manning himself has categorically denied all allegations regarding his HGH use, and is arming himself with some heavy guns (a speaker for now) in order this escalates somehow.
“Like growth hormone, all the time, everywhere…” The 2008 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, who has five sacks this season, isn’t going to issue a denial like Manning.
In a statement, Guyer said it was “extremely disturbing” that Sly would “violate the privacy of Mrs. Manning’s medical records and be so callous and destructive as to purposely fabricate and spread stories that are simply not true”. Sly said in the report.
The main source on the hidden camera report, pharmacist Charlie Sly, has recanted, Manning has gotten angry, and everyone has rushed to judgment if Manning did or didn’t do something against the rules. “It never happened. Never”.
Manning said he sought holistic treatments such as hyperbaric oxygen and nutrient therapy at the Guyer Institute with the consent of the Colts training and medical staff. Guyer said Sly also has had no affiliation with the institute since the unpaid internship ended in May 2013. It has come to my attention that the broadcaster Al Jazeera has somehow obtained recordings or communications of me making statements concerning a number of athletes and that Al Jazeera plans to air a program about them. “I saw a lot of doctors”.
While Brady never said anything about the HGH allegations or his thoughts on Manning’s response, he certainly spoke glowingly about the 14-time Pro Bowler. Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, who is advising Manning on this matter, told the Mile High Huddle that Manning is still considering a course of action and that the accusations made against him by Sly in the documentary are untrue.
