Mufti Sayeed “critical but stable”: AIIMS
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed directed the District Development Commissioner, Ramban, to provide relief to the bereaved families and ensure best possible treatment to the injured.
His medical report at AIIMS says he has pneumonia and sepsis and is being given blood products, O2 therapy, antibiotics. Sayeed’s condition is stable and he is being looked after by a team of doctors from the departments of Endocrinology and Medicine.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh visited him on 29 December to enquire about his health and wished him a speedy recovery.
Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was shifted from private ward to the Intense Care Unit (ICU) in AIIMS on 30 December.
Sayeed was “rushed in an air ambulance to New Delhi and admitted in AIIMS” last Thursday for treatment after he complained of neck pain for two days, and “after symptomatic treatment did not relieve the pain”.
The PDP and the BJP are alliance partners in Jammu and Kashmir and run the government after the March 2014 elections.
After the court order, the former J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah went on Twitter and said: Here’s what I’ll say – so long as J&K is a part of India the two flags will continue to fly & we’ll take pride in it.
