Matt Damon returns as Jason Bourne in new photo
Neither Damon or Greengrass were involved in the spinoff, “The Bourne Legacy” starring Jeremy Renner. Damon exposed earlier this yr in that the tale would take Bourne “through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world”.
“Bourne 5” marks the reunion of Damon, who has starred in three out of the four films in the “Bourne” series, with Paul Greengrass, who directed 2004’s “The Bourne Supremacy” and 2007’s “The Bourne Ultimatum”. According to the actor, the events that transpired in the intervening years gives “Bourne 5” its story. Jason Bourne, played by Damon will still be in search of his identity.
There has been a newly released image of Matt Damon as Jason Bourne and the spy looks as dark and brooding as ever.
“We find him in a dark and tortured place”, Damon told Entertainment Weekly of his superspy character and next summer’s “Bourne 5”. Jason Bourne was mentioned in the film a couple of times but never made an appearance (though a photo of him was shown in the film).
Plot details on the new “Bourne” movie are unde rwraps so far, but there are further clue revealed with the casting of Alicia Vikander; she’s playing a cyberspecialist. In the meantime, Julia Stiles returns as Nicky from the unique collection.
Untitled Bourne Movie is in theaters July 29, 2016. The new cast includes Tommy Lee Jones, who plays a hardened Central Intelligence Agency agent, Riz Ahmed as a tech specialist, Scott Shepherd as the deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency, and Vincent Cassel is said to be the villain, but what shape he takes -another agent sent to take out Bourne? – is unknown.
