Two ‘Palestinian Attackers’ Fatally Shot in Separate Incidents, Israelis Say

Earlier, a 27-year-old Palestinian man was shot dead after pulling out a knife in Jerusalem. They were aged 17 and 23 according to the Palestinian health ministry.
In another stabbing attack in the capital, a Palestinian terrorist stabbed an IDF soldier on Sunday morning near Jerusalem’s Central Bus Station.
On Friday, a female Palestinian driver attempting to run down Border Police officers near the West Bank village of Silwad, north of Ramallah, was shot and killed.
According to police spokeswoman Luba Samri, officers approached a man who was said to had drawn their suspicions just outside the Old City for following a pair of Jewish worshippers.
A nearby security guard apprehended the attacker who was then taken into police custody.
Palestinian eyewitnesses said that Mahdeya Hammad is a mother of four children and was killed while driving her vehicle in an area where dozens of Palestinian young men and Israeli soldiers were clashing.
He noted that the Interior Ministry, not the Israel Police, is charged with returning terrorists’ corpses.
The bloodshed is the latest in three months of unrelenting Israeli-Palestinian violence.
It was the second attack in Jerusalem in less than 24 hours.
Since the beginning of October, the Israeli authorities have launched an ongoing crackdown in response to the situation on the ground, promoting a “shoot-to-kill” policy against Palestinians as well as a series of harsh measures throughout the occupied territories that rights groups have termed as collective punishment.
The Israeli military said it entered the camp to carry out an arrest when troops encountered a “violent mob” that opened fire at the Israeli forces and threw firebombs at them.
Israel blames the Palestinian attacks on incitement.
Al-Jabi was critically injured and evacuated by Palestinian medics to the Rafidiya hospital in Nablus where he died shortly from gunshot wounds to the jaw and neck.
Official peace talks between the two sides broke down in April 2014 with both sides accusing the other of violating the terms of the negotiations.
