New York Jets: Full Preview vs. Buffalo Bills
Chris Ivory and the Jets can clinch a playoff spot in the AFC with a win today but their former coach Rex Ryan and the Bills stand in their way.
In their final home game of the season against the Jets, Bills fans wanted to make sure they went out with a bang, and one Buffalo fan figured that it would be a great idea to light a table on fire and then jump onto it. Rex Ryan has the opportunity to play spoiler to his old team.
The Bills are trying to play spoiler as the Jets are sitting at 10-5 and can lock up a playoff spot with a win, but could see enough happen to miss the playoffs if they do happen to drop this game. He has struggled passing early as he is only 2-of-5 passing for 0 yards in the early going for the Bills.
They’re also asked to dress appropriately for the weather. Despite struggles in the fourth quarter, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick connected on three clutch passes in overtime, including the game-winning throw to Eric Decker.
Marshall set the Jets’ single-season receptions mark last Sunday, and is on the verge of rewriting the franchise record books again this week.
The Bills might be out of postseason contention, but this game is far from meaningless in Buffalo. With a win, they can secure back-to-back non-losing seasons for the first time since 1999-2000.
