Bram Kohlhausen, who had a shaky first half, looked like the same quarterback that nearly led TCU to an upset win in Norman, throwing the ball with confidence and making plays with his legs. Giving up 42 points to Eastern Washington, 62 to Utah or 55 to Arizona State must have TCU licking their chops. The senior from Waianae, Hawaii has been an absolute force for the Ducks defense. An incomplete pass on 4th and 10 sealed the win for the Horned Frogs.

Trevone Boykin’s brilliant college career has come to an abrupt and inglorious end even though TCU has one game left to play this season. The Ducks, however, could manage just two yards on their next and final possession of the game, with an incompletion on fourth down officially sending TCU into the FBS bowl record books.

Doctson had 1,300-plus yards, almost 80 receptions, and 14 touchdowns in 2015 to easily make him one of the biggest receiving threats in the game. He’ll now hope that his already questionable draft stock isn’t depleted drastically after he assaulted a police officer.

Kansas State (6-7) finished a season below.

“I was playing this whole game for Tre”, said Kohlhausen, from the stage on field after being named the offensive MVP. More than likely, Kohlhausen will get the majority of the snaps.

Is the defense up to the task?

TCU’s offense sputtered mightily in the first half in its worst performance under Gary Patterson. Instead, OU vaulted from No. 7 in the CFP rankings to No. 3.

For Oregon, it’ll be all about much of the same.
